Edrom Kirk - The Interior
Services are held every month on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 10.00am All are welcome! Typical of many Churches in Scotland the interior is 'T' shaped. The central pews are bounded by two aisles leading to the altar. There is a wide cross-aisle with additional pews on the left and right of the altar. |

The aisles and altar area are carpeted in red, providing a warm and welcoming appearance to the interior and complementing the highly polished wooden furnishings. The pulpit is central and raised behind the altar and tall windows on each wall flood the Church with natural light

the main entrance providing extra seating and from which this

The gallery can be seen in the photo below with a centrally mounted clock facing the altar. No doubt to remind the minister not to make his sermons too long! Wide window sills can support floral decorations with ease and water is available at the Church.

An attractive carved
wooden frieze is hung below the ceiling beams and supported on
central pillars and pediments on the side walls.
The simple carved stone font stands to the left of the pulpit.

Hung to the right of

traditional version of the Lord's Prayer and Creed.

When visiting the Church don't forget to take a look behind the church at the ancient Norman Arch, once part of the interior of Edrom Church prior to the restoration. It would make an ideal background for formal photographs after the ceremony.
